BloomNet Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. is a floral and gourmet foods gift retailer and distribution company in the United States. It was one of the first retailers to use a 24/7 toll-free telephone number, then the Internet, and then conversational commerce via chat/chatbots for direct sales to consumers.

A former Market Area Consultant angrily shared in a review "Bloomnet is the worst job experience I have had in my 50 years on this Earth. They have a set group of old heads that are the click favorites and it doesn't matter what company rules they break, they will not be disciplined. The turn over in this company is crazy! The HR will lie to you and tell you that you have 3 weeks vacation from the start, you don't. The managers will tell you in the interview that you, can make a 6 figure income but that's a lie. You will never make more than base, because the customer you sign today won't last a week. 1800Flowers will ruin anything you sign, they threaten the customers, and demand they take low priced orders that will cost the florist to send it out. The reps from 1800Flowers will threaten, cuss, and actually black list your customers if they don't accept the orders that come in below the cost of what it takes to fill the order. When the customer calls you about 1800Flowers, you call management to complain and your told that there is nothing they can do with 1800Flowers, even though they are a sister company to Bloomnet. If you do see a commission check don't spend it, If the customer leaves before the contract runs its course you will get charged back for the commission. There are so many factors that can cause a customer to leave and most are out of your control, but you're punished for the wrong doings of others, and you're charged back for your commissions at the pay rate before taxes, so your paying taxes on commission that is taken from you, but the charge back is the pre tax pay. I have been in sales for many many years and I have never seen such a dysfunctional company! The company is like working in a Middle School program with back biting, and childishness between grown adults. The people that have been with the company for a long time have a free pass to act the way they want, and to treat new people as they want with out any disciplinary actions. Bloomnet is the most hostile work environment, and the most stressful work place. If you have a drop of Ethical thinking don't work for this company, ethics doesn't exist there. The rule is say what you need to say to make the sale. It isn't worth the money they offer you to work for them, and you will feel like there's nothing you can do right. The management is belittling, degrading, and favoritism is most defiantly an issue. If you have a problem don't tell HR because they are the worst on the childish gossip scale. The HR director will run to the person you have complained about and tell them all the details, the company is dangerously close to a lawsuit situation if they don't get their HR, and Management team under control."

"I worked from home. I sold website to our membership. I was told on more than one occasion that if it wasn't for me, they wouldn't have a website program. So to reward me, I got a 5% pay increase, just on my base. $1250/yr. There was not dedicated tech support. No SEO support. In integration of credit card programs on website purchases and when clients didn't get any business off their sites and wanted to cancel, I got charged back to the tune of $500/mo. My manager had 1 management tool in her tool box and that was a hammer. I was threatened daily with loosing my job. When I told them I was leaving, then they offered to increase my base to what the field reps were making. Thanx But No Thanx!!!"

Sales (Current Employee) says

"This company was great at first but the local management is not so good. They try and control every little move that you make. They installed key code locks in every door so that you have to swipe yourself in and out. This monitors EVERYTHING including how many times a day you have to go to the bathroom. They say it is because of security however that is a crock. That is their way of micromanaging. They also had a great commission but then management changed, the commission systems changed, and all of a sudden no one cares about the little people. They make you fill other positions when show time comes and they don't pay you for it. Their products are not in the shape they claim to be in and they are a total rip off on prices as they raise them and don't inform anyone. As long as they get their money, that is all they care about. The only thing enjoyable about this place is the coworkers.hour lunchbenefits now suck, management sucks, they dont care about their employees"
